Background: my friends and I are all twenty years old and attending university.  In high school I played volleyball competitively in Chicago so my weight was never something I really worried about until the end of first year when I stopped playing for a year and realized that I had put on the “freshman fifteen” and then some! I couldn’t believe that I was getting a double chin and a “muffin top”!  I saw my weight balloon from under 130 lbs to almost 150!

We first heard about hoodia from a friend who was obsessed with Carmen Electra.  She had tried hoodia and said it really worked.  Who wouldn’t want  body like Carmen Electra’s right?  However after researching a few products on various hoodia diet products we found that people were saying the one she was promoting was not getting good reviews.

We found that another product, hoodia gordonii plus, was getting all positive reviews and testimonials and what’s more they were offering a free trial so we decided to try them instead.

Effects: hoodia does work – it definitely helped me to control my appetite andvolleyball helped me lose the weight I had gained over  a year of drinking beer, eating late night pizza and generally not looking after myself in only a few months time.

I don’t take hoodia everyday, I still play volleyball for an intramural team and I want to have enough energy to play properly.  I generally take it when I know the temptation is going to be there to either snack or overindulge – like when I’m studying, on big nights out or when I go back to my Mom’s for Thanksgiving!

You don’t feel any differently really, you literally just don’t get those hunger pangs or cravings you normally would and when you’re eating a big meal it really helps to prevent you from eating more then you should.  Its like feeling really full, even if you love the food you are eating you lose the desire to keep having more.  For me hoodia starts working within a few hours but I have always had a very quick metabolism, for some people it can take a bit longer.

I think what anyone taking hoodia MUST remember though and what I all always keep in mind is that hoodia does not burn fat, it controls your appetite so you still must eat responsibly.  Using hoodia will stop you from feeling hungry but it does not mean that you can eat whatever you want!  You are still burning the exact same amount of calories as you are when not taking hoodia so its up to you not to eat for the sake of eating.  Also hoodia is going to help you lose weight but its not going to get your body into shape, only exercise can do that!

Negative Side Effects: I never really experienced any negative side effects on the hood diet other then I had to remember to drink lots of water even though I didn’t feel like it because it also suppresses your sense of thirst.  One of my friends did suffer from mild headaches sometimes after going a long time without eating but this was not all that frequent.

Results (hoodia gordonii review): after going on the hoodia diet I lost 17 pounds, the weight I put on in freshman year  in less then four months.  Albeit part of this must be due to the fact that I started playing basketball and taking better care of myself again but I found taking hoodia really helped me control the snacking and binging that was so detrimental during first year.  My friends who joined me all shared similar results: my friend Melanie lost 14 pounds and my best friend Amy who had out on the most weight that year lost 18! Talk about damage control!

Conclusion: from my friends and my experience I can say that hoodia does work.  It suppresses your appetite and gets rid of the cravings you might feel when you’re bored,  stressed or after a big night out by making you feel full.  I am sure hoodia gordonii plus has a different effect on each individual but with exercise and eating responsibly I wouldn’t think that our results were atypical and achievable by anyone.  One “trick” I have found is to get rid of all of theMe, amy and Melanie,after the hoodia diet“temptation” food in your fridge because even though you don’t feel hungry chips, chocolate and cookie dough still taste good!  In conclusion, hoodia gordonii plus reviews extremely well, not just with me and my friends but with the majority of websites and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is serious about losing weight.
